The role in plain English

You see 4 to 8 patients per day in their homes across Oxford and Lafayette County, Mississippi. Every session is 60 minutes, one on one, with the same licensed PT, you, every visit. You set your own calendar. You manage your own plans of care as a fully licensed, independent clinician practicing under your own Mississippi PT license.

What you'll be working on

Caseload depends on which service line you're hired into. We're growing across senior mobility, post surgical rehab, general concierge orthopedic care, and pelvic floor (as Meg's caseload outgrows a one-person practice). Tell us your strengths and we'll tell you where the fit is.

  • Senior mobility, strength, and fall prevention
  • Post-surgical rehab, joint replacement, spine, cardiac
  • General orthopedic and musculoskeletal
  • Return-to-activity coaching for active older adults
  • Pelvic floor, with mentorship under Dr. Cochran (advanced training required or in progress)

About Where You Are

Dr. Meg Cochran founded Where You Are Physical Therapy in 2026 because the conventional outpatient model, 15 minutes of PT attention split between three patients and a tech, wasn't how she wanted to practice medicine. We come to the patient. In their home. In their living room. At their pace.

We are cash pay only. No insurance billing. No prior authorizations. No visit caps. No mid-session handoffs to a tech. Every session is 60 full minutes, one on one, with the same licensed PT every visit.

We started with pelvic floor therapy for women and men. We're now expanding to senior mobility, post surgical rehab, and general concierge orthopedic care, and we're hiring the PTs who will help build those service lines. That could be you.

Why this might be the best PT job in Mississippi

Live in Oxford

Oxford is one of the best small towns in the South. SEC town energy without the Memphis or Nashville chaos. Walkable Square, real four seasons, an actual community. Cost of living lets a single PT salary go further than it does in most cities. If you grew up here you already know. If you're a transplant looking for a slower pace and a place where your work matters to the people on your street, Oxford delivers.

Learn directly from Dr. Meg

Meg's a Doctor of Physical Therapy with specialty pelvic floor training, and she's still treating patients every single week. You get weekly clinical mentorship from someone in the trenches with you, not a corporate "PT mentorship program" check-box. Real conversations about real cases. Hands on coaching. The kind of growth most new grads don't see for years.

Build relationships, not chart notes

You'll see patients for 4 to 12 sessions over weeks or months, not 15 minute drive-bys. You'll know their dog's name. They'll send you Christmas cards. Their kids will wave when they see you at Kroger. That's what longitudinal concierge care actually looks like, and it's the part of PT school that nobody warned you would be missing in most outpatient jobs.

Hungry new grad? Read this.

If you're about to graduate from a DPT program anywhere in Mississippi or the surrounding region, and you don't want your first job to be the one that burns you out, talk to us. We will not throw you 14 patients a day with a tech-supervised plan-of-care template. You'll get a manageable caseload, real mentorship, a flexible schedule, and the kind of patient relationships you went to PT school imagining. That's the deal.

Not a PT? You can still plug in.

Especially if you're at Ole Miss and looking for a way to build out your resume, get real reps with a local business, and walk away with work you can actually point to. We keep a small set of non-clinical lanes open year-round.

Content & social (this is the one we're hungry for)

If you're in IMC, journalism, cinema, photography, or you just have a phone and a point of view, we want to talk. We need short-form video, lifestyle photo, and IG/TikTok content for a real local business that's growing. Build a portfolio with our brand. Get paid. Ship work that goes live the same week. We're especially interested in students who want creative ownership, not stock-photo posts.

Pre-PT shadowing

DPT programs require 50 to 200+ observation hours from applicants. Shadow Meg in real patient homes (with patient permission) and see what concierge in-home physical therapy actually looks like up close. Hours count toward your UMMC, William Carey, or Mississippi State Meridian DPT application. Unpaid, low time commitment, real exposure to a side of PT most pre-PT students never see.

Marketing & admin support

Part-time hourly help with Google Ads, email, landing pages, SEO content, intake calls, scheduling, and Google Workspace cleanup. Health-adjacent students (kinesiology, exercise science, public health, nursing, IMC) get a front-row seat at how a small healthcare practice actually runs.

To apply: email hello@wyatherapy.com with subject line "Ole Miss [role]" and a short note about what you're studying, what year you're in, and 1-2 examples of what you've built or want to build. We respond within a week.
